Tutorial: Glyph message builder

In this tutorial we will learn how to use the Glyph message builder.

This tool combines the unitext symbol and the FFXIV in-game symbols for you to create special PF and unique shout run messages.

Preparation

To begin, ensure that you have FroggeBotinstalled in your server.

End Goal

By using the Glyph builder, you'll be able to see a preview of your message in discord as it will appear in FFXIV. This tutorial will guide you through the process.

Setting up a message

To open the module, type /admin glyph_builder command in a private channel where you can work quietly.

Here you can Add a new message, modify or delete an existing one.

Let's make one now with the Add Message button.

In the pop-up, type in the name of the message you want to build. For the purpose of this tutorial, you can name it "Special Message".

Once submitted, you can use the symbol keyboard to create your message and use the dropdown menu to access different categories of symbols.

You can utilize the first sets of symbols to type the word DICE.

Use the Add Plain Text button to add regular text

You can use the Modify Message button to access previous messages and edit them.

You can use the Remove Message button to discard messages.
