The Staff Role

Introduction

The staff role is a Discord role that is assigned to all users who are hired by the venue.

This role is used to denote that a user is a staff member and is used to assign permissions to staff member-specific channels and commands.

Typically, we recommend assigning this BEFORE hiring any users, as it will allow the application to automatically assign the user to the correct channels and roles.

Assigning the Staff Role

To let the application know which role is the staff role, you must set it in the Staffing module. Let's start by running the /admin staffing command.

Then click the Set Staff Role button.

Note

This button may appear in Blurple if the role has been previously set.

Next, you will be prompted to mention the role that you would like to set as the staff role.

Upon confirmation, the role will be set as the staff role and will be applied whenever a user is hired.
